Series overview

The digits at the end of the model name indicate speed: 025 is the slow version, which can also dispense very short labels cleanly, 050 the fast standard version and 100 the very fast one. Otherwise the units within a series are identical.

How an electric label dispenser works

The label roll runs over a peel edge where the label separates from the liner. A photocell detects whether a label is ready to take. Once it is removed, the dispenser feeds the next one. The operator just picks and applies; no more peeling with a fingernail.

This pays off wherever labels are applied by hand: shipping and picking, component marking, quality control or packing small batches. Compared with peeling by hand, the work is much faster and labels no longer get creased.

Choosing by label

Width: small labels up to 57 mm (LD3000, LD3500), medium widths (LD6000 series), wide labels up to 178 mm (LDX6000 series), large formats up to 203 × 305 mm (LDX8000 series).
Length: very short barcode labels from 3 mm with the LD6025, long labels up to 305 mm with the LD8000 and LDX8000 series.
Material: a matching sensor is available for clear labels. The LD3000ESD is made for static-sensitive areas.
Special shapes: die-cut parts with the DC6050, hang tabs and punched cards with the LDHANGTAB.

labelmoto® by START International

labelmoto® is START International's label dispenser brand. The units are built for daily use at the workstation, and the 230 V models carry the CE mark. Accessories such as counters, batteries, wall brackets and external sensors extend their use.

Not just labels: components, felt and foam on a liner

Anything supplied on a liner film or release paper can be dispensed with a labelmoto® unit. This includes die-cut parts, gaskets, felt and foam pads, glide and damping elements, spacers, adhesive dots and protective film blanks. The DC6050 is made for thick parts up to 3.2 mm; flatter parts are also handled by the LD6000, LDX6000 and LD8000 series.

In assembly this saves noticeable time: the part is ready and aligned at the strip edge, the operator picks it up and fits it. Adhesive surfaces are no longer touched with fingers, which helps adhesion.

Speed: 025, 050 and 100

The LD6000, LDX6000, LD8000 and LDX8000 series each come in three speeds. LD8050 and LD8100, for example, are identical and differ only in pace. The slow 025 models such as the LD8025 serve a different purpose: they handle very short labels that would shoot past the strip edge at high speed.
