START International zcM1000-EX – electronic tape dispenser for repetitive work
The zcM1000-EX is the affordable way into START International's range of electronic tape dispensers. You get the familiar build quality of the START line in a unit reduced to the essentials – including automatic feed, clean cuts and five length memories.
The zcM1000-EX feeds tape to a set length and cuts it cleanly on its own. Instead of tearing tape by hand or using scissors, you get even pieces at the push of a button or by sensor – saving time, cutting waste and reducing strain during repetitive tasks.
Five length memories for changing jobs
Up to five different tape lengths can be stored. In preset mode you call up each saved length individually; in loop mode the dispenser feeds the stored lengths one after another. This helps at workstations where several packaging or assembly steps each need a fixed tape size.
Automatic and manual operation
With the sensor switch on the cutting head the dispenser runs fully automatically: take one piece and the next is fed and cut right away. Alternatively, trigger feed and cut manually by button. The adjustable pressure knob matches the tape pressure to thin or heavy tapes and prevents curling or creasing.
Flexible with tape and core
The 3-in-1 spool accepts 25, 35 and 76 mm (1", 1.4", 3") roll cores. Compatible tapes include cellophane, kraft, cloth, PP, double-sided, filament and crepe. For narrow tapes from 7–30 mm / 0.28"–1.18" the manufacturer recommends the optional magnetic tape guide. The ABS housing and the weight of about 2.2 kg give the unit a stable footing on the bench.
Low maintenance in continuous use
Cutting blades and the separation roller unit are designed as wear parts and are accessible without special tools. With the supplied silicone oil and occasional blade cleaning, cut quality stays consistent over a long service life.
