Aluminium and copper foil tapes
Metal foils with aggressive adhesive for shielding and sealing
Aluminium and copper foil tapes seal ventilation and refrigeration systems, shield electronics and conduct heat. The metal foil is delicate and creases, the adhesive is very strong. Two properties that get in each other's way inside a dispenser.
The challenge
- The aggressive adhesive builds up on normal rollers.
- Profiled rollers dent or groove the soft foil, impairing shielding or appearance.
- Creases in the foil cannot be smoothed out; the piece is scrap.
How the dispenser solves it
The TDA080-NMNS has rollers that are both non-stick and non-marking, for foil tapes up to 80 mm. Wider foils up to 150 mm run in the TDA150-NM. Narrow copper strips from 3 mm are handled by the ZCM1000B with its own feed roller.
