Glass-fibre reinforced tapes for bundling and heavy packaging
Filament tape has glass or polyester filaments running lengthwise and is very tear-resistant. It bundles pipes and profiles, secures heavy cartons and holds parts together in transit. The filaments make cutting demanding.
The challenge
- The embedded filaments must be cut cleanly, otherwise the piece hangs on the tape.
- A dull or weak blade frays the filaments.
- High tensile strength requires strong, even feed.
How the dispenser solves it
The guillotine blades of the ZCM1000 and TDA080 cut filament tape cleanly. The TDA080 is built for continuous operation with metal gears and cut lengths up to 9,999 mm; the TDA060 adds eight memory slots.
