Double-sided tapes with liner
Transfer and double-coated tapes where the liner gets in the way
Double-sided tapes come with a release liner that protects the second adhesive side. In assembly this liner has to be peeled off every piece. That costs time and leads to bent or contaminated adhesive surfaces.
The challenge
- Peeling the liner by hand is tedious and slow with short pieces.
- The exposed adhesive sticks to rollers and guides once the liner is gone.
- Peeled liner scraps pile up at the workstation and end up on parts.
How the dispenser solves it
The TDA080-LR separates the liner during feed and winds it up; the piece leaves the unit ready to stick. The TDA080-NS-LR adds non-stick rollers for high-bond tapes. For existing ZCM and TDA dispensers there are the add-on liner removers TDLR050-10, TDLR050-15 and TDLR050B.
